Currently running the 418 without issue.
You do have to purge the old drivers before installing the new ones if you're switching between branches.
If you are running newer hardware have you tried the latest Beta drivers from nVidia's site or one of the nVidia proprietary driver PPAs.
Oh yea, I almost forgot about this thread. I've already switched to Ubuntu 19.04 and finally it work with nvidia 418 drivers.
Thanks for the reply tho.
Legacy nVidia cards will only work on 418 but not 430.
As a note, some legacy nVidia cards work better on the Open Source Mesa drivers.
