For those who have never played the first game, this is basically an enjoyable spot the difference game with 50 fun miniature 3D dioramas. A nice relaxing and absorbing way to pass a few minutes. I usually do 5 at a time when I want to play something for a quick 15-30 minutes.

Having enjoyed playing the first game and all the DLC's, it took a couple of goes to warm to this one, due to the change in art style, but once I did, I am now thoroughly enjoying this as much as the first game. So if you loved the first game, then you'll probably love this one too.

If like me you have played the first game but haven't played the demo, the main change, apart from the art style, is that you can now pan and rotate the dioramas freely in all directions, so that you can even give yourself an overhead view.
As well as that you now have a hint button that works on a cool down timer, that shows the approximate location of a difference. So on those puzzles where you are stumped and just can't spot that one last difference for the life of you, well now you have handy pointer to help relieve you of the frustration. As with the first game, the difficulty between the puzzles can vary somewhat.
Another new feature is the addition of a hidden puzzle piece to find on each level. Basically there is a little jigsaw piece hidden somewhere on the level. Sometimes the colour of the piece is blended in to match the background of where it is placed and other times not, but they are never made obvious. As with the spot the difference puzzles, some are easier to find than others. The hint system does not work with these, so you have to find them completely by yourself. Important to note, that the puzzle pieces only show up in the left hand view, so just focus on that to find the pieces, although sometimes you'll spot them when scanning for differences. Each puzzle piece found gives you some stickers to use in photo mode and a random puzzle piece of a 5 piece jigsaw, and when you find all 5 pieces of one jigsaw you are rewarded with a collectable item. It's just a fun little bit of fluff basically. There are 50 pieces in total, one for each diorama. I can't help but feel there was a bit of a missed opportunity there, to gather pieces for a 50 piece jigsaw, that you slowly have to piece together yourself as you find more bits.

Overall, I highly recommend this if you like this sort of thing, and definitely if you played and enjoyed the first game.

Besides the 5 differences that you can find in each level, the game challenges you to find puzzle pieces, one in each diorama. They usually blend in with the environment and are therefore harder to find, so I hope this guide will help you to find the piece...

Zooming out on level select?

Is there a way to zoom out your view on the level select screen? It gets harder and harder to find levels I haven't done yet when it's so close. As well as finding againthe levels I'm still missing puzzle pieces on.

PC freezes ~1 minute at scene transition (stage start & clear)

We are a few weeks from the release of Tiny Lands 2! ːgachaexcitedːːtinyloveː

And we are more than excited to officially announce Tiny Lands 2 works amazingly on Steam Deck!

Although there is no check mark for "Steam Verified" this doesn't really depend on us, but we can confirm the game fully works there, and you can smoothly switch between your PC and your Steam Deck with the cloud saving feature. ːgachachillː

Being said that, we really hope you enjoy Tiny Lands 2 on your Steam Deck too!

Seeing this game come out recently, I was overjoyed to hop in and stream the game to my friends on discord. We all fully completed the previous Tiny Lands game, and loved the art and ambiance the game created.

This is when horror struck

I open the game, already streaming the process to my friends, anxiously waiting to find some differences. I load into the first level. My jaw drops.

MY EYES, MY GODFORSAKEN EYES

The graphics were thinly slicing my pupils like a tube of lays potato chips. There is a very distinct difference between the two games.

First, everything looks WAYYYYYYYY too glossy. The game somehow became more and less detailed at the same time in every worse way.

Even the background is simply repulsive. Every scene is just a green screen with some objects thrown in. The last game gave you character, emotion, and depth. I FELT LIKE I BECAME TINY LANDS when I played that first game but now this is just a pale imitation.

The last game made me a better man but now... I dont feel so good.

All the objects are just plopped in from previous levels with no regard to any sense of uniqueness. In the last game, I felt as if I could look into each character's soul and tell how they were feeling in that specific moment. Every scene from the last game was art: calm, relaxing art.

ANND DONT GET ME STARTTED ON THE SOUNDS

A once relaxing, euphoric feeling now changed into MUSICALL PLAY DOOUGH. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS BUT ITS TERRIBLE

Tiny Lands 2 is a well-made successor to the first Tiny Lands. If you enjoyed the first game, you will enjoy the second game as well. The levels are well designed, and the good music / sounds matches the ambient of the current level. Although I slightly preferred the visuals of the first Tiny Lands. In Tiny Lands 2 the developers added the highly requested hint feature, which is well implemented. The photo mode is neat but not necessary (at least for me). I loved the idea behind the design of the main menu and the level selection menu.
