Windows 11 support

Does Quake 4 run well on Windows 11, and modern hardware?
I heard it had major issues in the past, not running on Win 10

An official remaster should fix it, just like they did with Q1 and Q2

I'm trying to run it right now. It works but I have an issue, I can't set the anti aliasing to 16x.

I'm on Windows 11 and its runs fine for me. The only catch was the textures looked really bad and low res at first and I had trouble changing the resolution. Quake 4 tweaker fixed both issues. Once that was sorted and the game was up and running I dropped in sikkmod and it looks fantastic in 4k(although some environment textures are a bit muddy -- character textures are generally great though.)

If you use sikkmod, I'd be careful not to just turn on every option at first. I made that mistake and ended up with a window inside of a window. Had to delete the mod, reinstall it and turn things on one at a time to figure out which setting caused that so I could avoid it(I can't recall atm which specific setting that caused glitch.)

Thank you so much!! This fixed my issue completely. I have this same problem with other games as well. I wonder......

I dont know why they could not apply the windows store patch here. The build there runs with out any issues.
