Quake 4

Crap Performance
Hitting 40FPS max settings (fixed Ultra), zero anti-aliasing at 4K with an RTX2060? What's going on?

Thanks mate. I did a stupid and totally forgot I had installed Quake 4 on this PC before so I had 8x supersampling on in the Nvidia Control Panel. Now I'm getting 140FPS thanks to that tweaker unlocking frame rate without stuffing up the game's speed.

it probably doesnt support your language with the 3rd party program together

watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbmL4LIho_Y

just run this program first
start the game and alt tab to your desktop
click on quake.exe and it should be on the right side of the grid now and the game should be in fullscreen

Go into the NVIDIA Control Panel, select the profile for the game and find power management mode and select prefer maximum performance. I was dropping down 40 fps too and I have an RTX 2080. Selecting prefer maximum performance should give you a locked 60 FPS. :)

Forgive my ignorance about the matter, but isn't this detrimental to the vga?
