The only source port I know of for Doom 3 is RBDoom3, but that is for the BFG edition of Doom 3 and it doesn't work at all for Quake 4.
Quake 4 is actually a slightly modified version of ID Tech 4, but 90% of it is pretty much the same as Doom 3. I guess the problem could be that Quake 4 source code was never released.
For anyone familiar with Yamagi Quake 2 sourceport is as usual, make a backup of the OG installation and paste the downloaded binaries and exes in the root folder of the game, also read the readme file for any specifics that might be there...
I am tempted to actually try and use Dhewn 3 sourceport on Quake 4 since both work on the same IDtech 4 engine, but I guess both games call for different file names and can't be done
