Today, we are publishing a new build!

This will contain a few things we have been working on.


This build contains a version of terrain that marks our first milestone in allowing players to manipulate and modify the terrain around them. Players will be able to dig the terrain up and down, flatten, and have it all persist through server restarts. We've also added the ability to modify terrain tile types on the fly, opening the door for road making and farming. Lastly we have improved the long distance terrain rendering to bring some of the beauty back into the terrain. Previously terrain in the distance contained holes from a performance led initiative to bring levels of detail to terrain. With this update you'll no longer be able to see through it like swiss cheese. Wow!


We've introduced a rudimentary chat system to let you really express yourself (bm other players).


With this release we're giving a look at one of the iterations of our build system. In conjunction with the modifiable terrain, players will be able to build houses on a grid based layout. While this is a first pass, this will give a baseline understanding of the trajectory of the system going forward.


Angira doesn't just have a sun, but also a moon. And now you'll be able to view it in all of it's moon-ly glory. In tow with this feature is additional niceties to make night a less miserable experience. Lanterns and lamp posts will let players light up their world and signal to everyone in a 10 mile radius that there are players about.
