Does this still require a uplay login?
Much how apex and other games still require a login on their own platform in order to play.

For full confirmation though - Ubisoft Connect and a Ubisoft Account is required to play Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

You do realize you could have just responded with the three letters Y-E-S instead of insulting him or her. I've noticed you are quite cynical and condescending in a lot of your posts. I think many people would appreciate if you weren't.

you realize people can just read the store page instead of making a thread

Absolutely. I agree with that. But you don't seem to appear to be very amicable on this forum with your responses. Perhaps a more appropriate response would have been: "Yes. And for your future reference, this type of information can be found about all Steam games on the right side of the store page."

Ubisoft = 1st DRM
Steam = 2nd DRM

Buy from Ubi.

i'm not some cm that's gonna suck up to lazy people

How is this user lazy? I'd argue that making a forum post asking a question requires more effort than passively reading a store page.

Nevertheless, I see our conversation is a bit fruitless. I have made my thoughts about your attitude clear. Perhaps it will spark a change in your demeanor but I would not be surprised if it did not.

Somehow I'm not surprised you never responded in this older thread where you posted the same crap instead of thinking about what people are asking for. Something that's actually not answered by the store page.

But apparently you have nothing better to do than to keep trolling new threads.

are you dumb? how is reading a store page for five seconds the same as reading 50 threads that pop every minute?
You still haven't read the thread I linked showing WHY the store page doesn't answer the question. Quit bombing threads with thoughtless replies and ignoring the responses showing why your responses don't help.

Would have saved yourself and a lot of other people a lot of time if all of your answers weren't so condescending. It's unfortunate but some parents just can't manage to raise their kids into caring, helpful, good adults. Here's a freebie - MANNERS MATTER. Better to learn that one later than never. Example: Your complete lack of matters has derailed what could have been a one answer thread into whatever this total mess is.

Is the Uplay launcher needed to play or just a login in the game?
It's great that Ubisoft decided to come back to Steam, but do we still need to install their launcher Uplay? If not that's great and you might have finally found a buyer in me here on Steam.

It doesn't say anything about a launcher, just the Uplay account. That's why I'm asking.

I know. That's where I look first for all games. There's no talk about the Uplay launcher needing to be installed. Can anyone who bought the game here on Steam confirm that just the game is installed and needed to run? (a Uplay account link can be done ingame or in the interwebs on their site or wherever - don't need a launcher for that)
