Failed to synchronize cloud saves
It is a very old save, the last time I played this game was back in 2022, and buying it on Epic Games, but regardless the cloud save is the responsibility of Uplay and not Epic Games.

So anyone got any experience with this? And somehow manages to retrieve it? My play hours is only 150, but regardless I have completed the main story and now simply only wanting to go further with the DLCs, so is starting a new game really the only thing I have as of now? If so, quite a ridiculous cloud save to be honest.

got this a lot of time with this game, try to stop saves from syncro, launch the game and erase every saves, but not luck on my side. The same for Anno 1800 yesterday.

There is something wrong with Cloud saving.
Its a new problem
it has started within the last 3 days i never had it before.
Once i finished a game it says 'Failed to synchronize cloud saves'
i just pressed 'try again' and then it worked.
My point is that cloud save might be unstabile at the moment :( ?

I have no idea what is happening either, somehow the problem fixes itself, I could enter the game with my 2022 save after clicking "try again" multiple times.

Although each time I closed the game, I always got the message of synchronisation failure, but since I also manually save, that is not much of a problem.
Ubisoft connect is borked. Ive been playing AVATAR Frontiers of PANDORA and it also has this issue. This is on ubisoft's end and is the server issuer on their end. It seem the app ubisoft connect seems to be borked right now. You can also check on AC Shadows as many people are complaining about same issue. For some reason, i did not see anyone complaining about it on Avatar game.

Not only that the game crashes at random, it also fails to synchronize to cloud save... I mean... usually I wouldn't care, but it starts to annoy me bc it keeps coming up everytime the game is closed by whatever means >.<

this has been happening lately. i know this isn't an answer to your question, but for anyone experiencing failed sync you just gotta keep retrying and eventually it'll synchronize.

this started like 1 or 2 weeks ago, im unable to sync cloud saves, yes i tried to hit try again button for million times, no dice
tbh i suspect end of life may be coming and they just started to downsize infrastructure so its causing this new problem

I have two PCs , not sure how i get saves to second pc now when i travel this weekend...

well you still have local saves. you can just copy those over to your other PC. or does that not work for some reason in your case?

I just got a ubisoft Connect update.
But still getting 'Failed to synchronize cloud saves'
Just saying so if have tryed to fix it?
i will tell you not fixed yet.
it's more or less 'fixed'. Before, I couldn't get cloud save synch whatever I tried, now, when I try a few times, it eventually works again. Hope I'm not jinxing it by saying it, but I also experienced no crashes anymore, thankfully

It has become better for you which is great.
But if you have to continue to press 'try again' then its not fixed.
Its what the rest of us have been dealing with for weeks now.

yes thats what i ended up doing, copied my saves to onedrive, and good that i did it! because when i came home i tried like 100x "try again" and it didnt sync anything...so if i wouldnt have saves on onedrive i would lose like 2weeks

btw local saves are in here: G:\Programs\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<somelongstringhere>\13504
