I did go all the way back to a 528.06 driver to play this and a couple games, and it slows the amount of crashes..still, until they or nvidia fixes that annoying error, it is going to keep happening. We can only hope a either a skilled modder or a AI fixes it.
I installed the older nvidia driver and I played 6 hours without a single crash. After the game crashed again, I limited the gpu to "gen3" only instead of "auto" in bios and played 8 hours without a single crash. You can try this method, it won't harm your computer
Try these methods
The game just freeze, close on its own and I am back on the desktop.
I quit playing this game.
Usually it's something like 2 seconds but you can change it via the registry.
I am gonna try this as a solution.. it's not solving the issue but bypasses it.
Well yea, you just crash. You can see the error under windows event viewer. This will show you any errors you get, which gives more details. Probably your getting the NVLDDMKM system file error. This is due to nvidia's newest drivers not compatible with this game.

This issue only happens with ubisoft games. I played other extensive graphical games and never ran into this issue.
For example, Hogwarts Legacy worked flawlessly with my pc. I did notice other people were complaining about the shader cache not working correctly though for them.
And the more frustrating part is that when it runs it runs great! I am playing at 120+ at 1440p in ultra settings. and it is very smooth.. But suddenly it just crashes out of nowhere.
Yea i once had to mod a game to get it to work one time. Luckily it used old pc coding, so i understood what happened. I found out the dumb developers of that game caused a infinite loop error, which basically went back to this one line of code, and it kept the pc forever in this loop of not working. All i did was delete that line of code and it fixed the game. I even emailed the developers pointing out about this bug and that they should fix this code in their game. I sent them the code number and the line where it was stored, and showed them what i changed. Not sure if they did in the end because the email i sent was very hate centric in it in other words, i chewed them out making me fix their game as a customer that wants to play it.
I also tried to fix this coding before in the infinte fight issue in AR TONELICA 2 on ps2, but my knowledge about coding on consoles is less than i did on pc's back in the day. Someone did eventually fix that annoying bug though. Again, i did find the cause was a infinite code string..similiar to the above issue i fixed, but i could not really read the coding info as it was different than what i learned. Coding language is like music notes...each version is a different language. If you do not know how to read music notes, coding is the same way.
