Canon Gender

Hello.I’m looking forward to buy the game once its released and I was wondering,whats the canon gender?I know that the main character its Eivor and gender is only an option but whats the canon gender in your opinion?

the canon should be the male version. nearly always it should be the male. not only it makes more sense story wise but people are attracted more to a male protagonist then a female protagonist when its comes to RPGs of this kind.

the canon version is the female, but since the marketing is all based around the male eivor i choose for the male variant to be canon. ubi is too much of a beach to stick to their guns. same goes for odyssey.

I tried both but I gotta say male is way much better imo.Love the voice actor and the movement when it's running and fighting it's similar to Bayek's style.

Eivors skeleton in the beginning is male, Odin is male, there is no evidence that shieldmaidens ever existed, vikings aren't vikings without beards.
Only in americanized & bastardized interpretations of """vikings""" in the form of glorified Marvel movies do you find female vikings and other a-historical "vikings".

The only ones that think otherwise is a loud minority of the dev & PR team and people that live their lives on Twitter.
When they want to sell copies they show trailers and screenshots of male Eivor.

According to the AC wiki, canonically the character is female and a reincarnation of an Isu called Odin who was male. the confusion lays there. it's likely the anomaly is passed down through the family lineage implanted by Odin or one of his kin and there have been several reincarnations of Odin, so it may have been random chance that the next reincarnation is a male or a female, in this case a female.

"Attracted" probably isn't the best word but I assume you mean that men want to play as relatable or idealized men.

Aveline is good but the game is just too damn short, same with Shay. Rogue feels like it ends when it finally gets going.

Aveline is a little too flashy and glamorous at times, but that's what i expect for a Robyn Fenty look alike.
