making an animated cutscene

hello everyone, i am looking for a way to have the character start the map by sailing in on a boat before getting struck by a storm and have the character wash ashore on the map complete with name entry and cutscene to start the adventure can anyone help me with this? the tool i am using is RPG Maker VX Lite

Oh you're using Lite.
Well to do a lot of that you require scripts and even common scripts but you need the full version for those if I recall.

Scripting isn't my strong point edit: I don't know if you can see the movie at all because it ain't showing up in the window
