Here to say I grew up with this and it's still my favorite 4x game! Multiplayer?

As in title, I didn't see anything mentioning MP, but I would love that. Love this game.

My best friend and I spent hundreds of hour playing this back in the day over TCP/IP. We would LOVE some kind of modern solution to be able to play this together again.

According to this answer[superuser.com] it should work if you host a VPN. Hamachi also allegedly works.

According to https://superuser.com/questions/1674352/using-ssh-tunneling-to-play-sid-meiers-alpha-centauri-smac-multiplayer-online it should work if you host a VPN. Hamachi also allegedly works.

Interesting, thanks. Tried Hamachi in the past, but no luck; time to try out a VPN solution!
