Alpha Centauri Unofficial patch by Scient[github.com]

Install this first. This fixes bugs with yields for probe teams, farming, and several other issues that were never officially addressed.

PlotinusRedux's GUI improvements and renderer for SMACX[github.com]

This allows better UI scaling, resolution and windowed options, and other modern features that didn't exist in 1999.

Please comment on this guide with others you'd like to see added.

So i have this game on disc, also on gog, is it worth getting again on steam? from what i can see it is going to have all the same bugs as before? i have tried various patches and fixes in the past ( though i havent played the game in a few years now) The Issues i`ve had in the past is i would play with a very large map or custom size, and there is a point where units productions stops, and later i.e air craft movements would crash the game, I`m still tempted to buy again, but know despite the mods, patches fixes, it probably will be much the same as before crash at the same point. This is probably one of the best games of all time, i`m itching to play again...

For five bucks without sale, I'll buy it just to own it on Steam. I was able to install and play the GOG version.

It will have more concurrent players than that Beyond Earth thing.

Is there a way to make the UI bigger? I can play the game at 1920x1080, but the UI is too small.

If you have access to the file system, you could extract them yourself and try it, yeah

No, this game is mostly unmodified from 1999/2000.

I installed both mods (in the first post), but after that the game doesn't scale correctly and I have to manually set my desktop first to 1920x1080.
I tried settings a 4k resolution in the alpa centauri.ini file but that doesn't do anything.
Would anyone know how to fix this?

Turn off UI scale in windows
