Once this has been updated you may also need to make sure this is running in administrator mode and also verify your game files before launching your game. You can find more information on how to do this along with other troubleshooting steps in the following FAQ.[support.ubi.com]

2) After that, go to add \ remove programs in your windows control panel
(press win key + X select apps and features .. look on the right side and select Programs and features) .
select uninstall UPlay and then exit once its done
3) Download and reinstall Uplay PC from https://uplay.ubi.com , as this will update the client to the latest version ..... then reboot your PC
4) Launch the game again.

continuing problem. - You'd think that steam would at least include instructions for
updating Uplay in their DL.
