Not every single fix will work for all things. AMD and Nvidia have separate settings you need to change, especially on more than 10 core PCs. I have to disable, I think 8/16 cores to run older games like Lego games, Prototype, Red Faction e.t.c. Had to do this for Assassin's Creed 1.
Kinda Ironic that you somehow just lost your ubisoft connect login info, hmm
I've been struggling on two systems to play it. It doesn't matter what your specs are, it's going to crash.
System 1:
I7-6700k, GTX1080, Windows 10 Pro
System 2
I9-13900K, RTX4090, Windows 11 Pro
On both of them I've deleted the game profile xml, I've set the Dx9 and the Dx11 exe's to Co mpatibility Mode with Win 7. On Windows 10 the game runs without changing the cores, but I also turned off multithreaded rendering. On DX11 on Windows 10, it crashes about every 10 - 15 minutes. On DX9 on Windows 10, it crashes about every 8 - 12 minutes.
On Windows 11, it won't run at all unless I drop my cores down to like 16 and use the Dx11 executable, with all the same troubleshooting, and it also crashes every 15 - 20 minutes.
Anyone telling you otherwise is a liar unless they're running Windows 7.
Did you try LAA? Because that has fixed the issue for several people including myself.
Even tried the fix with the parameters, didn't work either.
I managed to play yesterday for over an hour in dx11 on Win 10, while also recording it, with no crashes whatsoever. I actually have gotten the game to launch 2 or 3 times since then, too, through Steam on the same machine without running anything as admin.
If you've never played FC3, I'd honestly recommend just playing it on console. The only reason to be trying to mess with this now is the achievements. Fixes or not it's always been a miserable experience on PC, even when it was new - back when even high end systems could barely run the game.
