The store page still has the deluxe edition for sale, based on the description it appears to be the exact same content as the DLC option - the latter being, of course, just a DLC option. If you're curious about whether you have it, just examine the game in your library through the properties view and check the DLC tab, if the deluxe content is listed I'm assuming you're good to go.
They may work out the issue of it not being displayed as having been purchased by those who bought the deluxe edition of the game before the change, hopefully preventing people from paying extra money for something they likely already own.
At least checking the game DLC window shows that I own the Deluxe content.
In the DLC tab I have 'High Tides DLC" , "Deluxe Edition Content", and "Deluxe Key" in that order.
This current DLC item for sale does is not marked as "In Library", hence the confusion.
DO NOT buy the Deluxe Bundle DLC if you previously purchased Far Cry 3 - Deluxe Edition! The bundle contains the EXACT same content that was included with that edition. If you are unsure on whether you previously bought the deluxe edition, please see the image linked below, which is what you should see if you did in fact purchase the deluxe edition of the game. If you don't see that and otherwise do want to purchase the DLC bundle, by all means do so.
-------------------------------
I bought the Deluxe edition (before the DLC option existed) back in 2013, this is my DLC tab on the game's properties -

The end goal is essentially the same - since the game requires UPlay to be running concurrently, the "Deluxe Key" is needed in order to upgrade the base game to the deluxe edition on that platform, in turn unlocking it in the game proper. It's a ridiculous sidestep to justify forcing extra DRM onto players, but that's how it is.
Thanks for the explanation of it. Still i think it was a good idea to make a solo DLC Bundle for the game. Probably many players bought the game without the DLC and later wanted it, but didnt like to spend the money in the same game, because they would need to buy FC again with the DLCs.
Anways, since FC4 isnt as good as FC3, i think some people may choose FC3 instead.
Well, this thread is pretty much answered, and i hope it can help anyone in doubt with it, thanks everyone.
??? What are you talking about?
After watching so much videos on FC4, i dont think it will be as good as FC3, and considering the price, maybe if someone wants to buy an FC, they will likely choose FC3 instead of 4, and now with the DLC option, they can buy just the game, and if they like it, just buy the DLC Bundle separated afterwards. Thats what i meant.
To bad, im not dumb, and i dont feel one. From the videos that i saw of FC4, i didnt liked it, and i said it. And the comment is very good, im sure the sales of FC3 will get higher too, because we see videos talking about FC4 everywhere from the marketing, but, a few people dont have the money to pay that much for FC4, and because of it, FC3 will be the best choice, and specially because we are getting close to Christmas too, and the DLC Bundle, so people can buy just the game and nothing else, and if they liked it, buy the DLC later. What the hell is dumb about it? Maybe the only dumb one here is you, because you didnt understood what i said.
Anyways, this thread is answered, and im not going to discuss anything further. Feel free to say any "dumb" thing you want, because im not answering.
Thanks everyone that HELPED to answer the thread, and i hope this can help more people with this doubt.
Nothing like hubris to make one look like a hipster douche, amirite..?
