Can't login to Uplay, can't change password, what now?
When I start Far Cry 3, the Uplay window comes up. I can't login with my old password, and when I hit the "recover password" link, it just takes me to a Ubisoft "error" page. I tried going to the Ubisoft website and logging in to Uplay from there, but when I hit the "Forgot your password" link and enter my email address and security code, nothing happens -- it says I'll get an email with instructions on resetting my password, but this never happens. I tried it several times and I know that the email is correct, but even after waiting quite a while I didn't receive anything (and yes -- I checked the spam folder.)

When I go to the "support" section of the ubisoft website, I can't do anything without first logging in, which of course is the whole problem. In other words, I can't ask any questions about logging in without first logging in. I checked my old confirmation emails from uplay, and the instructions say to use the ubisoft support site for any quesions. That site, once again, requires me to log in, and I can't find any support email address for uplay.

I'm kind of astonished. I paid for a product, but I can't find any way of contacting them to tell them it isn't working. How do I procede?

I haven't played this game in some weeks, so I'm not sure when this started. Is this just something happening tonight? Did I just happen to pick a bad night to try it, or is this a larger problem?

Sylidar -- how long has this been happening for you?

I don't understand how there can be no way of solving a problem like this -- i.e. how do you ask for support for not being able to log in when the first thing support requires if for you to log in?

but you can swith uplay to offline mode and play solo campagin at least
I hope they fix it or remove this bugged drm feature from steam

Just to clarify, are you having the same issue?

Is this a recent issue? As I mentioned above, I haven't played in a while, but I never had this issue before, and the DRM system has always been there since the game launched on Steam. Did the issue just start tonight?

Yes, it seems like the problem is on Uplay's end. Played the game several times in the last few days with no issue, but it's unable to connect currently. I imagine it will be fixed *relatively* shortly.

Thanks for the extra info. If there are problems logging in in general, hopefully this explains why I can't recover or change my password.

There really needs to be some recourse for this sort of things happening. If a company wants to use this type of security measures, they need to make sure that they function correctly. It's just not fair to purchase a product and not be able to use it because Ubisoft can't keep their system working.

I've only noticed it today. Finished Black Flag last night and thought a bit of pew pew would be fun. Given that they both use Uplay it seems odd that one works and the other not, but I guess some single player campaign will do.

Should be working now; at least, Uplay is connecting my normal account. I'm not sure about the password/reset stuff.

Fianlly back online here as well. It's funny -- it just signed on without asking me for the password, so it apparently still had the password saved. I'm a bit worried about trying to change it at this point for fear of having it malfunction.

Purchased Far Cry 3 on Steam. Played 89 minutes. When  restart the game e-mail/login error. No access to Uplay. I ask retrieve the mail or password but no message arrives in my mail used to activate the CD-Key. Can anyone help me? I can not get support because login is incorrect.

Found this old thread and I am having the same issue. Tried to play Heroes of Might and Magic VI on my new computer where auto-login isn't active yet. I know for sure I have the correct password but it won't work and as the rest of you, I can't reset it nor get help from Ubisoft. Any ideas on where to send an e-mail?

I've managed to solve it as well. Suddenly it all just worked out like a charm. I have no idea how but as long as it works I am satisfied.

Hi guys, I have the same problem but I cannot resolve it from the chatline because to start a chat I have to log in. Unfortunately I forgot my password... I tried many times the recovery procedure but ubisoft doen't send me any mails... Any suggestions?? Thanks a lot
