Kethane Mods?

Hello... I'm a relatively new KSP player, and I've decided to install a few mods to make things more interesting. The first mod I've decided to add is a kethane mod, but there are many versions to choose, and I've never installed a mod before. If anyone could recomend a Kethane mod, and help my figure out how to install it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Download the file (zip) and open it. Copy the 'Gamedata' directory within it to your KSP directory.

That is the link to the Kethane Mod forum thread. Installing the mod is as simple as extracting the zip file into the root of your Kerbal Space Program directory.

The download link says it works with windows 7, vista, and xp, but I use windows 8. It that going to cause problems?

Not at all, I'm using Win 8 myself. Generally speaking if it works for Win 7, it'll work for Win 8! (Yes, I do know there are exceptions, but, in all honesty, there's not very many!)

Not by running it. Instalation might be a bit tricky, though.

I'm not entirely sure if i put it in the right folder. i started up the game and nothing changed.

I've wondered about these mods myself. What exactly do the mods do?

Kethane mod adds kethane resorce maps to all planets and moons. it also puts parts into KSP so you can build drilling rigs to get kethane and turn it into other resorces such as rocket fuel also comes with generators that run on kethane and kethane tanks.

When you install kethane it should be:-

Kethane folder inside the Data folder.
