Kerbal Space Program

Ending a mission?
I decided to take Jeb and Bill to a joy-ride to the mun and back. Everything worked out pretty nice so far. Landed, got back to Kerbin, and came down like a feather 10km from the KSC. The problem I have is that I can't "end" the mission anymore. Everytime I try to leave the mission it just resets me to my last autosafe, which is during reentry.
Is my only option really to terminate the flight prematurely in the mission control center? There also pops up a warning that aborting a mission will kill all Kerbals on the flight T_T

If you have landed on Kerbin, you can recover the craft instead of terminating, using the tracking station screen.

I used the tracking station to recover much of my debris too. This will be handy in career mode im guessing.

Well thats not working for me. I'm sitting in the water by the way. Every time I hit Esc and Space Center, a warning pops up "Warning: You are in flight. The game cannot be saved at this point and will revert to a save 4.50min ago" or something like that. The Space Center button is marked orange at this state.

Make sure your throttle is off. 'Space center' is unavailable if its on.

its off, that was the first thing i checked ;). Seems to be a bug then?

I experience the same problem several times...I think it's actually a kind of bug on how the game consider your speed when you're landed on water. The only solution I found so far is to NOT land on water (thanks the quicksave before reentering Kerbin atmosphere!).

There is a new recovery option at top of the screen in the middle. Where the abort button is and the altitude meter.
