Possible Mobile Version?
Well I love KSP, not much else to say, but wouldn't it be even better if KSP was also available on mobile devices? I would buy it even if it was $10 for the app, thats just how much I love and support ksp. Hell, I even bought 3 copies total on PC for myself, my brother, and a spare to keep for a giveaway or something else.

Edit: Check most recent post.

Course, you could just go play Space Agency:

Game's actually kinda’ crappy. Still, I expect that of all things on mobile.

Well, gta has probably been optimised to hell and back, and probably further for ios. KSP at this stage has probably had two optimisation passes, and you do still need a reasonable amount of ram to handle it.

:KOh:
iOS has an Arma 2 app. Anyone who plays DayZ know's how much arma 2 needs optimizing and how resource heavy it is. Same goes for Minecraft, and there is Minecraft Pocket Edition for iOS, and Android. Again, what makes Kerbal different?

Those are all less feature-rich, and coded on entirely different engines. The Arma 2 App for iOS is a turn-based strategy game that focuses on close combat. Minecraft Pocket Edition has limited size worlds and is, again, less feature-rich.

Also, because I CBA to make another seperate reply, to the guy arguing for GTA3 and Vice City being on iOS... Those really aren't demanding games anymore... Those came out on the PS2 and original XBox. Comparing being able to run those to being able to run Kerbal Space is like saying that being able to run the original Half-Life means you can run Crysis.

I already have that game.
The only pro feature in Unity that would help with an iOS port is the profiler, and you can just use a third party profiler for free instead. Shadows and water would just made it laggier, anyway.
Aye. C'mon mate, let's see a concept demonstration! You can do everything you've claimed you can do with the standard, free package of Unity, so let's see how you do!
He's trolling guys. Not sure why this game attracts so many.

What makes you say that? And kerbal attracts so many people because it's a really great game.

And just for the record, no, I was never trolling.

hmm.. I would like to play it on a Microsoft Surface Pro if they added in some touch screen abilities. I dont think it would be possible on a phone though... I have played civilizaton 5 and batman arkham city on a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet. Mind you they were not running at super beast mode settings intended for gaming rigs... But they were surely playable by all means.

I play KSP on my laptop a lot because i am not home much (travel for work) and if KSP will run on an integrated intel HD 4000 graphics card on my laptop, then you can bet it will run on the surface pro (it has an integrated intel HD 4000 card). The surface pro also has a intel I5 processor, so it could handle it.

edit: just checked into it and theres some YouTube vids of KSP on a surface pro... but they are not touch screen. They use a mouse and keyboard.

I play KSP on ultra on my Intel HD 4000 with 32mb of dedicated ram... If I can do that on my laptop, KSP could easily be played on an iPhone.

32mb dedicated, but it shares memory. It can run up to 1720mb shared memory. I assure you that if you ran KSP on only 32mb it wouldnt even load the start screen.
Lets just finish the game first... Yeah!?
one question even if performance was not an issue. how the ♥♥♥♥ would control it easily
I highly doubt it due to sheer complexity, but you never know. Either way, pointless until KSP is out of early access.
We are not living in some magical realm where Mobile devices have even half the power of a decent PC, development time is free and developers will waste hundreds of hours on something 'just to try it'. The game isn't even in Beta and you want them to port an already resource intensive, largely unoptimised application to mobile devices without any loss of features/graphics. That's impossible, it simply cannot be done, and thankgod Squad aren't trying because it wastes time that can be spent on adding solid features.
The physics calculations alone would melt most mobile processors out there today. People just don't understand how demanding on the CPU physics calculations are. KSP will not be coming to any mobile platforms at this time.

And yet the game runs like a dream! Yeah, there really is a whole lot of physics calulating going on there.... Not. Have any of you taken a look at the coding? For the most part it is simple if statements stating that if a part weighs oh lets say about 10 tons, then it will fall slower and get into space easier than something that weighs 100 tons. How is that a ton of "Intense Physics Calculations"?

Could you just please stop assuming stuffs, grab unity and prove everybody wrong?
Thank you.
