Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program

Rover+probe?
I've been trying to make a rover with an attached probe lauchpad but when I set the controls to the probe and launch it, it reverts back to the rover controls, any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I think you have to go to the flight control radar thingy and select the probe ship to be able to control it.

To elaborate; when all your ships are attached you can switch control points, but when you detach you have to either go over with a kerbal and board the other ship to control it, or select that flight from the control center.

While the 'radar thingy" (tracking station) does work, there's perhaps an easier way:
If you press the square-bracket keys ("[" and "]"), they toggle between the different pilotable objects that are "nearby", for some fuzzy definition of "nearby".

i have had i similar problem with a rover and prode lander body reconnecting after separation on the ground. it was (i think) because the dock clamp is magnetic and this cannot (as far as i know) be turned off. this mean that when the clamps are very close when your on the prode, your suspention is being pulled down enough to connect the clamps and make one ship. i fixed this by leaving more room between the clamps and using rockets to lower the rover on its suspention. hope that helps and makes sence.

edit: R wait sorry its eearly, it seems you have the oppersite problem to me so ye sorry that might not help much at all.
