Auto Pilot?

Is there Auto pilot in ksp? would help alot for getting to other planets.

In the official content, no. But there is MechJeb mod which adds automation:

....I had hard work to get satellites to orbit and fly to moon but after i did it it was awesome.

With Mechjeb you hit a Button and you can fly all crap to everywhere so it feels like pure cheating and destroy the game imo.

So just use it for some testing or stats overview but dont let Mechjeb do the whole work , it will destroy the great fun of the Game!

Mechjeb is a nice made Programm/Mod it has 3 - 4 interesting windows but all other stuff is autopiloting.

Mechjeb flys rockets in a stabil orbit they otherwise if flown manual would explode after 10 seconds on the ground.

So i also dont use Mechjeb if i want to do a real mission.

But anyway its a good Tool.

You have the navigation aid. Learn to use it and you won't need mechjeb.

I agree. I've managed to land on the Mun and safely return; barely. With my experience I'm actually finding ways to make the journey more economical and safer, and to me thats what KSP is all about, challenging yourself to do better.

space guys now have computers do everything, also people enjoy things in dif ways. You may like to fly the ships but another player want to design them and MAYBE JUST MAYBE he doesnt want to bother flying them himself just seeing how his creation performs so MAYBE ITS NOT CHEATING. AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO you telling me a unmanned satelite had a guy sitting at his desk in pj's flying the damn thing??? NOPE

All creations perform like Masterpiece thats one of the Problems :) Mechjab can controll not flyable Rockets :). Just saying.

Every flight that Ive done useing Mechjeb I have done manually afterwords and all my Crafts fly fine. with or without Mechjeb...bye the way MechJeb 2.0.8.0 is the only version thats been updated to KSP .20

2022 guy here, could you send me a set up tutorial on MechJeb 2.14.0.0? Cuz i don't see any autopilot options that were presented in the tutorials form 2013 and 2016. Did MechJeb remove autopilot?

You can use the in game tools to easily get to places. I can show you if you like or post a new discussion and we can post stuff there. Probably be easier than figuring out Mechjeb.
