Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program

[bug]I don't can launch the ship
I don't can launch the ship, because every time I start the game,
astronaltas are already in space. Even excluding the game information can not
launch any ships because no matter what I do, the astronauts
are the space, even starting a new game.

Possible solutions tested(failled)
- Delete the entire game.
- Delete the game information (user)
- Reinstall Steam
Isn't it the main menu?
the game starts normally, but no matter what I do, I can not launch the ship, or create new ships. Even deleting the whole game or save my information. Does nothing to create a new game.
Can you post a screenshot of the problem?
Would that be a screencast.
A screenshot does not show the problem.
i cant see how deleting the entire file structure could not correct any issue, unless it were something specifically wrong with your save-file. ensure your deleting local files aswell, steam uninstall is retarded.

i would suggest questioning about save-file editing, and get rid of anything/everything via savefile and mods/add-ons.

I need something to help me visualizing the problem. Your descriptions aren't helping much, you need to be more specific. Once you start a new game, you should be at Kerbal Space Center and be able to click on the Vehicle Assembly Building, where you can build/load a rocket. Please, check the video:

I deleted all game files, including the save files

Now this is weird. I've never seen such a thing before. I would recommend reinstalling the game, but you said you've already done this. I don't know if the following thread is yours (see link below), but you should post the video in KSP Forum, they could help you more.

We have a Linux Compatibility thread that you can check out at the link below. There's some issues with language and regional settings that can cause the nodes not to load properly. Try running KSP with the LC_ALL=C ./KSP.x86 option.

I'd agree with Benneralan, make a post on the Kerbal Space Program forums.
The issue looks to be something to do with the resource loading (or lack of), but that said what you can can do is manually run the KSP_X86.bin or KSP_X86-64.bin as it could be that Steam is running the 64-bit version as default while your drivers are 32-bit or visa-versa.

It has been some years since I've used Linux though as frankly it causes more headaches than really is worthwhile. Something I would suggest is switching to a Debian-based Distro (Fedora)

I would also suggest making sure all of your drivers are up-to-date, including getting the lasted Unity / Mono Project release. Most importantly make sure they are ALL 64-bit versions!
Unity /should/ work alright out-of-the-box but as I said Linux isn't known for being particularly friendly for end-users or developers to track down issues.
problem solved!
