Left alt + Left Mouse Click Doesn't work in Linux
This would usually make a copy of whatever you were hovering over when you performed the shortcut, however I have not been able to find any information about this feature, am I missing something? I would greatly appreciate any replies as my game performs much better in Linux than in Windows and I have recently swithced over to playing soley in Linux.

The same problem exists on Mac, and for the same reason. It has to do with the fact that OSX is Unix underneath as well, and the game has a layer that makes the game operate on X Windows. These problems seem to be coming from that layer. Other key modifiers with mouse movements have the same problem: You can't hold shift while moving the mousewheel to zoom in the VAB for example,

I'm not sure about Mac, but my shift zoom works just fine; as does Shift + Left Click to move the whole ship around by grabbing any part of it.

*Running Ubuntu*

This bug is still present, but I have a workaround (for Linux only). It doesn’t work because of
Window Manager’s shortcuts:
- alt + left click moves a window
- alt + middle click resizes a window
- alt + right click open window's menu

You can change that shortcut to Super (aka Windows key) instead of Alt.
Write in terminal:
dconf write /org/gnome/desktop/wm/preferences/mouse-button-modifier '"<Super>"'
and restart computer (or relog user, or restart wm service).
If you don't want to use terminal, you can use Dconf Editor, of course.

It works for me (Ubuntu GNOME 14.04), I'm not sure if it works for Unity and other shells, but you can try.

It's not a bug, this is how it's setup by default, and it's for a reason.

The officially supported distro is Ubuntu, and by default Ubuntu uses the left Alt button to grab and move application windows.

This means we can't hold the Alt key down in Ubuntu and have it function the way we want without rebinding it in Ubuntu's keyboard options.

So the Right Shift key was set to be the Modifier key by default, though this is easily changed in Settings.

Here's a Wiki page of KSP's controls[wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com], hope his helps :)
