KSP Freezing during flight. (HELP PLEASE)
So I love the game and I want to play it a lot. But just keeping the game running on the start screen will eventually freeze it. When it freezes my computer does too. Also it makes a loud noise. HELP ME PLEASE.

Are you sure that your CPU or GPU is not overheating?

My best guess would be overheating as well. "Loud noise" almost certainly indicates (a) fan/s running at max.

Are you playing on a laptop or desktop? When I play on my laptop the fans are on high and you can feel the power of the sun from it. Desktop is never loud though.

PS. why do you keep it on the start screen? Just curious.

I kept it on the start screen to test if it would freeze. I play on a gaming laptop

The noise is coming from the game it distorts the sound in the game and adds a high frequency low pitch noise inside my earphone and my earphones only.

Pretty sure that isn't the case if you read the other replies.

Your other replies could indicate a power supply problems. It's hard to diagnose really because we can't hear or see what actually happens but high pitched noises usually mean some sort of electrical interference especially on sound cards although that usually happens on workstations not laptops. Or it could be just the game freezing on you. As I've said it's hard to diagnose.

Also I've read your other replies and they still don't rule out freezing. The computer can freeze and be stuck in a loop (play the same sound or a tone). I'd use a software to check the temperatures or just run prime95 and leave it on for an hour and see if it freezes.

Also gaming laptop doesn't tell us a thing. You would be surprised how many people have a 300€ laptop with integrated graphics and call it a gaming PC. :) So some specs would be nice.

P.S.: Is it only this game or does it happen in another games as well. Also what games do you play on it because tetris wouldn't be taxing on the system and this game is mainly because it's not optimized yet. :)

Just don't worry. We'll eventually find out what's wrong. :D <---- insert a calming smile here
Also you could post in official forums because it could just be a bug.

It's only on this game. Also it is a low pitched noise.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.90 GB Usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System

P.S.: I run an antivirus but the game freezes even after shutting it down.

Hmm if it's only on this game then report it on their forums. Maybe someone else had the same problem.

Half of the time their forums won't open or take forever to do so on my computer. Also I've read some things on their forums and they don't seem very helpful at all

Vinyl, does the game freeze only on the start screen or can you reproduce that in the game? How long does it take to freeze (approx)?

You said something about the noise only being in your earphones. Do you mean that you have speakers also and the noise is not evident through speakers?

I fixed it. I just set all graphic settings to as low as possible. (changed my perspective of the game by 0. It still looks the same)
