1st person outside view from cockpit?

I noticed a screenshot that looked like a 1st person view from the cockpit. Am I missing something or is this not an optiion at this time? Is there a mod out there I'm missing? I can only get 3rd person views, which is fine also. Awesome game and well worth it.

Press "C" to enter First person mode, but fst person mode cannot be accesed in Probes or Unmanned Modules

If you have a manned control module, if you mouse over the kerbal screens in the bottom right corner you'll notice 2 buttons appear.

EVA - basically climb outside of the control pod, go for a walk if you're on a planet or fly around in space with jetpacks. Make sure you have a way to get back to the hatch if you are on a planet.

IVA - First person mode for that kerbal, allows you to see from inside the cockpit :) Press C or V, I forget which, to leave IVA mode.

When I do that all i get is a windshield that has some kind of cover on it. I can see all of the cockpit controls, but there appears to be some sort of shield over the windshiled that prevents me from looking outside in 1st person view. I see there is a mod for a specific manned module that allows for a view outsdie the window. I thought that was available for all manned modules, but nonetheless, excellent game.

Also if you are in third-person mode just looking at your Kerbal, you can push in your wheel mouse button to de-center the view, great for panning around and taking different looking screenshots.

Some modules don't have windows. Some do but have very small ones, etc.
