Mods are pure fun, but VAB with mods isn't

Hi!

I have recently decided to get quite a few mods installed, for more fun. I can't say I'm not enjoying myself, but going through ALL THAT STUFF in Vehicle Assembly Building is just irritating. So is there a mod which would sort parts in the VAB/SPH?

So I'm not the only one who feels this pain! I think you meant to ask if there was a mod to sort parts in the VAB, but that's irrelevant. Either someone needs to make a mod (or advertise it more) that can sort parts better, or Squad need to change the VAB parts menu to sort between stock and modded parts, using maybe a dropdown menu to select the mod you want to look at.

I think there is a mod for this, but I don't remember what it's called.

Turns out I probably managed to find a solution myself.

There is a mod called PartCatalog, which is labeled for 0.21. Diving into the most recent comments revealed a fix of sorts, however, which is supposed to get it to work with 0.22.

I've been using a mod called "simple parts organizer," can filter by type of part or parent mod, can even filter out Squad parts. Seems to work fine in .22.
