Locked or Invalid parts
I reinstalled KSP today because of mod overdose and when I went to load up my game it showed my ships having locked or invalid parts. The only modded parts on the ships were those from mechjeb which I also installed. Is there any reason why I can't access those ships?

Can you access them in Sandbox mode? Career mode parcels out parts depending on if you've researched certain topics.

Yep, they are ships from my sandbox game. I dont think any files were corrupted because this happened right after reinstallation.

If you put sandbox ships into career, then if you do not have every part unlocked, the craft is not visible. Once you unlock the parts, it appears in th loading screen of the VAB.

Would it still be inaccesible in sandbox mode though?

It shouldn't be.
Are you sure it has NO parts except for Mechjeb which are modded?

Im pretty sure, All of the ships were built before any other mods were installed. When I first loaded it up it showed the parts that were incompatible, they were all stock parts afaik

The craft files are just text files, so you could try opening it in a text editor and editing out any non-stock parts in it.

Is there any way to show what parts are incompatible? That would make it considerably easier

I think I found my issue, somehow a fuel tank I was using is not in the game. It seemed like it was a stock part but apparently it wasnt.
