Delta v needed for a round trip to duna
Because Im terrible at calculating delta v and using delta v maps, Could somebody give me the amount of delta v needed for a round trip to duna?
Thanks!-

Well I wouldnt know exactly. There is a calculator that can help you with that , hope this helps.

Well, it takes 4-5km dv to get off kerbin(i think), then if you launch at the right time it takes about 1km dv to get to duna, then if you use Aerobraking it takes about 100 dv, so probably somewhere around 5-7km dv.

As General said + 1km delta to return to kerbin

It depends when you launch, and how you go about creating an intersect with Duna. Do it right, and it a lot less than if you do it wrong. Picking the right launch window is important. You will need to use the time acceleration to wait for good launch position of your target destination.

This, or you could do things in your spare time - like building a larger spacecraft to send to Duna so that you could establish a station in orbit.
According to this handy map[i.stack.imgur.com], it takes 5980 delta-v from Kerbin to Duna low orbit. 7410 should take you back to low Kerbin orbit.

This is, however, the ABSOLUTE minimum delta-v you'll need, that is, burning at the EXACT most optimal burn points. I usually aim for a third or half more of that delta-v just in case.

i just send a mission to duna, i indeed needed around 4000 dV to get to duna; becouse my ship is quite flimsy (the escape burn could not go faster then half throttle, it's several docked parts), i wont aurobrake but use some 1000 dV to slow down, which will take all the fuel the ship has, perhaps even some from the lander.

this is why i send a probe to duna in the same window, that has a full refuel with it for the way back (i hope it's enough, i plan to leave the lander, so less weight with the same fuel should do the trick)
