Clamp-o-Tron SR - Am I just being stupid?

Hey Guys,

I have been trying to dock with Sr Clampotrons for days now and I just cant get it to happen. Its pretty much halted the game for me at this point.

I have found loads of people have issues with them being the wrong way around or not setting the other to docking target. Thats not my issue as I have tried all these things.


The simple test I did was connect two segments via two clamp0tron docking ports that are facing each other in the construction mode. Then I flew this into orbit and then dettached one of the nodes. Moving them away slightly. I then set the other clamp as target and moved close.

They just dont dock back with each other. This was pretty much my test to see if I was doing it right.

Just a sanity check. You need two to be facing each other to make dock right?

Im pretty much pulling my hair out at this point.

this clearly shows the outside face of those docking ports, you must mate 2 outsides together ofc

Yeah I have been using that correctly, with the correct face as shown in your picture. However they still do not dock. Im thinking maybe it is the undock redock bug, not sure f that got fixed or not. Undocking and then redocking without moving very far away.

Try moving back to 50m or so, or undock, to the Space Center, then return. Both methods habe fixed it for me.

Hey PyrokaPyre, thanks so much for your suggestion, that did it for me! I now have a 4 part station in orbit. With more being added soon. I hope they fix that issue though as its annoying when you try and move a part of the station and then redock.
