Whats the best parts mod ?
i know I have a lot of hours. but I never really used any mods except KAS so I don't know much about them. I am lookin for new parts to build with. farings would be neat but not totally needed. but like I have seen triangle shaped steel plates.. etc . and spherical tanks that I would like to use. what are the most common ones ? and where do you download them ?

You have a lot of mods to choose and adapt the game the way you like.

Go to the Curse website I'm sure you'll find what you looking for.
http://www.curse.com/ksp-mods/kerbal

Advice: See the KSP version of the mods or some of them may not work properly or not work at all.

Forget curse, go to squads forum: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/forums/35-Add-on-Releases - and / or use CKAN mod manager: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/97434-The-Comprehensive-Kerbal-Archive-Network-Call-for-mod-participation
There's so many part packs its hard to tell which one someone likes and which not. FASA for example is a very common part mod that adds very cool stuff like Explorer Satellite, Mercury and Apollo Project, but i guess not everyone likes that realistic style and complicated assembly.

KW Rocketry is, IMO, probably one of the best rocket parts mod.

Near Future is pretty good too.

Curse.com or kerbalstuff.com are good sites. Just try whatever you want. Most mods are installed by putting a folder in your game data folder. If you don't like it, just pull it back out. If you're just looking for parts, KW, B9, or FASA. To add new types, science, or abilities, check out SCANSat, Deadly Reentry, interstellar, MKS, KAS, Dmagic, or anything else you'd like. There are tons of cool mods out there. Want to fly a banana? There's a mod for that.

AIES is a good part mod. IIt allows the option to put multiple motors on fuel tanks.

I actually use parts from all the mods. I delete what I do not use to save memory.

Engineer Mod, it give you lots of little info on mass, thrust, vectors, altitiude all of that stuff to help you as much as you need. No auto-flightstuffor anything, just info, helpful helpful info. (Although with new .90 update I have yet to try KSP again so I don't know if there are stock parts or info now to provide this.)

I'm so gonna' hijack this thread with a relevant question:

I'm looked and have found a lot of Mods, but the ultimate question is: I'm looking for a Mod that can give me options like Shrouds and what not, it was said that Fairings was a good one, but just wondering if there's any others out there that might be of the same quality or better, and that are updated for .90.

for parts; i like KWR and B9.
i also use kerbal engineer for the readouts, FAR for some decent atmospherics and TACs fuel balancer, for flying planes.
those are the main ones; i got a lot of other thingies(docking port allignment indicator, alarm clock, environmental enhancements...), but the first 3 are the main ones

FASA is awesome, and just got a major upgrade, NASA rockets from Mercury to Apollo

KW, AIES, and I forget which other part mod has fairings. I end up deleting their fairings and use Procedural and Inline Fairings

For fairings i can really recommend "procedural fairings". Together with "procedural parts" (and wings if you like planes / shuttles). (+Blackheart612's Procedural Part Textures).
Nothing better then building good looking rockets with it, that have a less part count and optimal fuel amounts ;)
