Can't restore inoperable modules with scientist
I am currently on the moon, trying to restore the SC-9001 Jr. with Bob Kermann. As far as i know, Bob is a scientist, but the game always tells me "Only Scientists can restore inoperable modules".

Am I missing something?

Need a Lab to clean out those experiments manned by some scientists.

What Lab do you mean?

Just accept the warning, and then have him reset it. You don't need a lab to reset experiments.

The Mobile Processing Lab that holds two Kerbals.

Once you add the scientists to it and dock your lander/probe/science gathering craft to the lab you can clean the experiment out (goo and science Jr).

Really? So nab the data, and have a scientist reset it on the spot? This I have to try.

Unfortunately, it won't restore. Bob is next to the module, I am in controlling him, but it does not restore.

i dont think youd have to get out, but if staying in it is not it, you need the mobile science lab.just bring more if you have to, or send multiple missions

Try another position, you can't interact from any position around the Science jr. as far as i can tell. You may be just a little bit to far away from it due to the model itself.

I tried several positions around the module without success. I think it was a bug because it didn't work with the Mystery Goo Pod either.

More on this problem.

I've found the right spot easily and made "Reset"... But it didn't. The module closed and when I opened it after that, it was still inoperable.

Yes, that was a scientist.
Yes, I tried recovering and starting another flight, collecting data first and many other things. No result.

Bug? Or am I still doing something wrong?

wow, you right clicked it, hit the reset button, and it still didn't reset? It should have worked.
Are you using any out-dated mods? That would be my guess at this point

Sorry, my mistake. It works correctly, just the notification after data volume was confusing me. Anyway. Sorry for causeless panic. =)
