North, South, East, West. Am I missing this ?
When I'm flying, Is there a simple way (like a big N) to tell directions without looking at the gaggle of numbers on the navball ? Half the time I can't even fly north. Am I missing something so friggin simple ?

The thick orange line is north, it has an N mid way through. The numbers are the degrees of a compass going around, (eg. south is 180).

Yes, you're missing the fact that direction is usually measured in degrees. No offence.

There are NSEW marks on the nvaball, but your direction indicator (and orbital inclination) are measured in degrees.

What they said.
0° = N
45° = NE
90° = E
180° = S
270° = W

Shouldnt be that hard to remember.

EDIT: Or whatever... might have swapped east for west there...

Ok then. When I'm flying a jet , what number is southeast? Do you know this off the top of your head?

Sorry...thanks thow. Im just frustrated that I flew an hour in the wrong direction. I'll just look for a mod.

Maybe try with a small piece of paper somewhere close with the degrees for each direction?

IS there a way to set waypoints?

A maneuver node is a waypoint in orbit.
