However, for finding, adding, testing, and installing mods I highly recommend using CKAN, Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network. It basicly gives you a list of all mods for KSP (hundreds of 'em) and allows you to install them simply by placing a check mark beside the ones you want. It also shows you whenever there's updates available for individual mods.

I would definately say CKAN is the easiest way to manage your mods, however KSP Mod Admin does have some extra functionality you may enjoy (adding flags, making backups, viewing all crafts within a save, etc.).
EDIT: I just realised that you linked KSP Mod Admin v2, with which I have no experience. I have been using v1.3.11.

However, for this specific functionality I now use a mod called S.A.V.E.. It provides an in-game backup/restore option.
