Symmetrical plane with lopsided lift.. Why?
This has happened to me a number of times and in different versions. I will have a craft that is symmetrical, both sides identical, yet somehow the lift will be screwed up way off to one side.

Is there a way to prevent or fix this without having to go back and start deleting wings and such? It's getting frustrating. :(

Can we seee a screenshot of it?

It happens on all sorts of planes, regardless of design. It will show center of lift fine, then I do a test launch and revert back to assembly and suddenly it's offset, nothing was even changed.

Any mods installed? Especially mods pertaining to wings aerodynamics? And are you using the symmetry tools?

Also, link us a screenshot of any of the planes.

No, just Karbonite and Kethane. (so I can load up old designs)

Okay, then just post a shottie of any of the planes in the SPH, with the center of mass and center of lift showing.

Not sure how to link from Steam screenshots folder.. I guess you could view my profile and view them from there?

EDIT: This works well enough

With this test craft, the center of lift is skewed off to the side. And the offending parts are the delta wing tips on the sides. The offset is reduced significantly if I place them both individually as opposed to using the symmety mode. If they are added as a pair, the offset it much worse.

I can delete and replace them and it'll show the COL in the middle, but as soon as I leave assembly and return it will be offset again.

Let me ask you first, are you building your ships from the ground up on the vertical assembly building? If yes, I would first of all suggest to build on the Spaceplane Hangar, save the ship as a subassembly, then move it to the vertical assembly building if you need to attach rockets to it.

Yep, there's your problem. Symmetry works differently in the VAB, so planes need to be built in the hangar to fly right.

Well that's a silly problem. Alright, thanks for clearing that up!
