Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program

Where are all the B9 Aerospace parts? (Mod)
I've downloaded it, when initially loading KSP, it says it's loading countless B9 AS parts, but they're nowhere to be seen in Vehicle assembly or my spaceplane hanger.. I also have Kerbal engineer downloaded too but I've never seen anything ingame from that Mod either. Is there a way to manage mods in-game? When I didn't have mods, the mods & add-ons menu would redirect me to curse mods. I haven't actually checked it since then, will it let me manage them there, or still redirect me?

edit: I haven't seen MechJeb in game either

Try doing a clean install and then add the mods you want. Also some mods are dependant on other mods so those also need to be updated. once they have been, you should have no problems as long as you installed the mod correctly. If I remember correctly B9 has a mod dependency on firespitter mod which is still being updated. At my last check it was at about 65% complete.

What version are you playing and when did you download these mods?

I'm playing version .25 latest. I have been downloading my mods as they have been updated. I'm still waiting on firespitter to update but that one is taking some time. It's a pretty big mod that quite a few other mods are dependant on so it takes a little more time. Don't be surprised if after it is updated, mods that depend on it need to be reupdated also.
Good luck and happy Orbiting. :ai_fuel:

I'm running the latest version. None of the stock B9 crafts are in the 'load' menu in Vehicle assembly. Is there anything I need to do to integrate add ons, once I heard someone say "don't forget to MERGE the files". Could that be the problem? I just unzip them into the KSP folder

Where are you extracting them? They're supposed to go into the GameData folder in the KSP main folder.

Straight into KSP, not into gamedata. I'll go do that now and get back to you, thanks

You don't need to wait for the entire firespitter mod to update. You just need the recompiled firespitter.dll, which you can find here.[forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com]

I've had a look at B9's zip file structure and you should extract it somewhere outside of your KSP install. Then copy the contents of the GameData folder into your KSP GameData folder. Make sure not to copy the GameData folder itself into the GamData folder within KSP.

B9 also comes with parts of other mods with the appropriate folder structure, firespitter being one of them. Once all the folders that come in B9's GameData folder are in your KSP GameData folder, locate the firespitter.dll and replace it with the one from the link above.

If you want the craft files that come with B9, you will need to copy them to the appropraite folder where you can access them. The ships folder in the root KSP directory is read by all sandbox saves. Any career or science saves will require you to place them within the ships folder of the corresponding save folder.

I have the B9 mod you still would see the parts without firespitter.
