Kerbal Space Program

Achievements?
I really want an achievement of when I first land on the mun, a sound plays and it says
"Mun Lander" and a picture of a kerbal with a flag. And it makes you feel accomplished on something?:Honored:

Steam achievements are first on the list of "Features Squad Isn't Adding".

However, there's a mod called Achievements that adds in-game achievements, and there's also one called Final Frontier that adds achievement medals for individual Kerbals (ex. landing on the Mun, being in orbit around Jool, et cetera).

Thanks!

Wonder why no Steam achievements. Obviously there could be added pretty easily.

They said that they don't fit in with Kerbal Space Program, which is essentially a sandbox. They want the game to be more of a personal, customizable experience so you can decide when and how to "win" without a chain of set objectives guiding you.

I just want, achievements, not goals. To hell with "goals" wtf does that even mean? It's about the feeling of seeing the achievement say "Landed at the Mun!!!" and a little pic

Screw that achievement ♥♥♥♥. I do not need a pat on the back everytime I do something.

As a substitute for achievements you could post your accomplishments in the forums. Either to take pride or to brag a little.

Except it's not a Sandbox anymore. And there is a popular mod that adds achievements.

Achievements aren't about "winning"; they're about setting goals or considering different ways of doing things. Sometimes they are downright wacky. People try to downplay them, but obviously they are popular.

We all know what this is really about - not wanting to give Steam owners something not available to non-steam owners.

I would much rather them adapt the Final Frontier mod as an official part of the game (or something along those lines). It would add a lot more to the game than steam achievements would.
