Extract fuel in Orbit

I searched for it but I didn't get any exact explanation of, how I could transfer fuel in the orbit of Kerbin. I started one little "space station" with 3 fuel tanks (it is the FL-T400 Fuel Tank). I installed a "FTX-2 External Fuel Duct". Now, how can I transfer the fuel from the FL-T4000 to the my main fuel of the space station, which is not linked with the 3 FL-T400 Fuel Tanks?

If your pieces are docked together somehow then just right click one of your fuel tanks and then hold ALT and right click another fuel tank. You will see buttons appear that let you move fuel in and out of the tanks.

I just have unlocked the first docking parts. Can I dock them with that?

hold "alt" and right click on the two parts. 2 windows will pop up, the rest is pretty self explaining. works for both cases:
1 pumping between two or more docked vessels
2 transfer between different tanks on the very same ship

Can you tell me which upgrades speficly? I have only 2 docking parts. In the desription of the first one, it says, that fuel extraction is not possible. In the description of the second docking part, that sentence is not given. But I can not build that part on the fuel tank I think....

Patata9643, you don't need to build a docking port in the fuel tank. You only need a docking port anywhere in your vessel, and when you attach that to the docking port of other vessel, you'll be able to transfer fuel from/to any tank of both vessels.
When I say docking port I mean any part called Clamp-O-Tron.

The External Fuel Duct is a simple duct that connects two tanks of the same vessel. It is installed while building the vessel and it transfers fuel continuously until the first tank is empty. For your purpose you don't need the External Fuel Duct, you need a Clamp-O-Tron in your vessel and another in your station.

All you need is the docking ports and RCS thrusters... thats it. After docking to your station, hold alt and click on one of the tanks with the extra fuel, then click on the upper most active tank, the rest is self explainitory. If you station does NOT have a docking port your going to have to terminate it or de-orbit it, then send the same one up but WITH a docking port. Or you can just send a diffrent station up.
