Any big difference between the M700 and M4435 Scanners, besides wide and narrow band?
I've been spending the last couple days building stuff and catching up on science points, and where to spend them. And if I wanted, I can pick up one of the 1100 point tier 9 tech's, but looking at them closely, I got to wondering about the 2 orbital survey scanners: the M700 Survey Scanner and M4435 Narrow Band Scanner. I already have the M700, do I really need or want the M4435?
I know the M700 is wide band and the M4435 is narrow, but is that the only difference? Or does it help ore mining if you park an M4435 in a geosyncronis (I know that's spelled wrong.... lol) orbit over a particularly good mining spot?
The reason I ask is the M4435 is 1100 science points, which seems a waste when the M700 can already scan a planet... unless the M4435 does something more than just scan whatever's under it.

Anyone know??

The big one gives you a global map. The other acts like a bomb sight.

Like a bomb sight??? So it helps landing on a good hot spot for mining?

It literally has a crossight, and has a very small real-time-updated field of vision. No, it does not actually display your projected landing spot, although you can mark one for later.
