Kerbal Space Program

full screen not working right
I have a pc with windows 8.1, a gtx 780 graphics card, and my monitor settings are for 1920 by 1080.
For some reason when I try to do full screen with kerbal space program it will be windowed and put my screen in a really low resolution like 600 by 600.
When full screen is not enabled Kerbal runs fine, but I really would like it to be full screen so I can see the information at the bottom of the screen.
Any help would be apreciated.

Is it at least working left?

I can't figure out how to adjust mine to fit the screen.
for me the game opens in a window that is too tall for my screen, but it narrower then the total screen width.
The size of the window can't be adjusted so I tried to set it to full screen.

This led me to the additional problem that the buttons that allow you to confirm a change/edit to settings are off the screen on game startup for my PC which is also windows 8.

Really pisses me off because this looks awsome and I was contemplating getting it.
But if the demo has this problem, chances are the game itself will too.

Alt+Enter or manually setting the correct resolution in settings.cfg should work.

hi, u can try to add -force -gfx-st as argument to ure shortcut, that force fullscreen
can do in steam library, right click KSP link, proprieties set launch option, write
"urepath\steam\steamapps\common\kerbalspaceprogram\KSP_x64.exe" -force-gfx-st %command%

if you have an nvidia graphics card, then you sometimes need to do the following.
1). open Nvidia geforce experience
2): choose the tap named "games"
3). If asked scan, els choose kerbal space program.
4). in right side of window make sure it say "full screen"

Somehow it can happen sometimes that it say something els than full screen, and then kerbal will start in full screen mode, BUT once it reach the main menu it will become a window with different resolution.... ( I always had to alt+enter in the past to exit window mode and enter full screen mode, until i found out that was the reason ).
The above solution migt also help with your screen resolution.
Hope this could be of some help

I tried doing what Facialjack did but when I tried to open the game a window would pop up saying the game would not start

I also tried pressing alt enter, and do the geforce experince but It would still do full screen in that really low resolution

Did you try what Rene said? Try manually changing the video settings in the settings.cfg in the game directory.

hi, that mean that its not write in the good way, i suerly made a mistake in line, as i explain it from memory. Im sure that -gfx-st, u should try wiz a space btw -force and -gfx-st, be sure that's the right path btw " ", just put KSP.exe instead of KSP_64.exe if wanted.

That should work, as that's the game argument for forced fullscreen
EDIT, i found example on web :
"D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\\KSP.exe" -force-gfx-st %command%
lets try it !

I found too that we can force DX11 by adding force-d3d11
force windowed fullscreen wiz -force -popupwindows (need to disable fullscreen in KSP option for having that working)
