2. at the bottom of the advanced part menu, you should see a green button with a rocket on it. This is the subassembly menu. click that.
3. at the bottom of the subassembly menu, you should see a box with something like "subassembly drop zone." take the parts you want to turn into a subassembly and drop them IN THAT SPECIFIC ZONE, if you drop it anywhere else it just deletes it.
if all goes well, it should bring up a menu where you give the subassembly a name and short description. when you finish that, you have a brand new assembly! I hope this helps. ^^
