Also if you hold Alt then press F5 you can make a named save that you can revert to with Alt+F9 in case you mess up, by doing this you can still make quicksaves, but will still have something to go back to.
Thank you though. :)
Press Space-bar to let go
Press "R" key to activate Jet-pack
Press "V" for Free view camera ...
Then use very small inputs to float, not really fly around.
If you always are at the ready to do the opposite of whatever direction you just did, you'll always be in control. If ... IF ... I've got to cover a lot of space, I count, I.E. if I do a 5 second bust in forward then float over to a target I know a 5 second bust in the opposite direction will slow me back down.
When at the target (a hatch or a ladder) be at the ready to press "F" key to grab on.
Then climb to the hatch and press "B" to board the vessel.
Small inputs, slow and easy is the best advice I got.
Have your navball on "target" so you see your speed relative towards your target.
Face the camera towards where you want to go (the door of the pod to enter, or a position near that pod from where you can face that door)
Tab the W key minimally to face your kerbal that way too.
Now use the ASDW keys to remove any speed relative towards the target.
Then, use the W key to start inching towards your target.
While moving towards your target, you can use other keys for small adjustments, but keep speed under control. Whenever you think you are losing control, overshooting your target etc. Start by reducing that relative speed to zero again. This is always your fallback when panic and chaos is coming up.
