Returning to space center while moving
Is there any other way to return to space center while a vehicle or ship is moving? I'm trying to stop a ship but with a speed of 1.3 m/s it's not letting me.

If you are moving inside the atmosphere, no. If you are using a ship and you want to jump to another closer than 2.3km you can do it (with '?' and 'ì' keys) because it's in the same 'physics sphere' and you won't screw up everything. The space center si completely differenti scene, so you need to be perfectly stable to jump there.

I'm not sure where you (JLN) are from but Carsaxy is using an ITALIAN keyboard, the keys on an American keyboard for swaping to/from other ships are [ { and ] } ... the open/close square brackets and curly brackets. (Above/left of the <ENTER> key)
(I used 2 symbols for each to show what they are when <SHIFT>ed)

As Carsaxy stated above....

If you are on the ground/water you have to be at a complete stop to go back to KSC.
(Use reverse/go up hill to stop/slow down a rover, engage SAS to help stop bouncing craft in water)

If you are FLYING in atmo it will most likely tell you that transfering to KSC will revert flight to launch. (Sorry I don't have KSP installed at the moment, so I can't check)

If you are in SPACE (ABOVE 70k) then you should have no problem getting to KSC.

It would help if you could describe the craft/situation you are in...

NOTE: Sometimes you can go to MAP mode and transfer to another craft and back again to stop bouncing/moving craft.

You cannot revert from ship if is moving accross any surface (not just atmosphere).

To be classed as not moving accross the surface, you have to be free of the atmosphere (if there is one) or above a certain altitude for the various other bodies (different for each one, I believe 10,000m for the Mun for example.).

Landing can be a pain due to this sometimes, especially landing on non-flat areas on Kerbin (you just keep rolling). But you should stop eventually... remember your brakes!

For Minmus its another problem. The gravity is so low you can slide along the surface nearly forever as the game does not model surface friction very well. Aim down!
