Uhhh...can someone help me?
So. I bought KSP on the website. And now I need to activate it on steam. And I don't know what the SAC (Steam Activation Code) is. Can anyone tell me how to find it and/or tell me what it is? Thx.:steamhappy:

Shouldn't have bought it on the website, mate.
Can't transfer it to Steam now.

Purchases on the website cannot be activated on Steam.

Wait....

When did you buy KSP?
Rene Nov 25, 2015 @ 10:58am
Since not too long ago, you can also buy KSP Steam keys on the KSP website.

I've bought it recently, but not TOO recently. I've been here since, I dunno, 0.24. And also, TELL ME WHERE. PLZ.

Manwith Noname Nov 25, 2015 @ 4:10pm
The code is....

You need to have bought the game from the KSP site before it was available to purchase on Steam, which was March 20th 2013.

Whats so bad about playing it off steam?

As far as the game itself goes, there's no difference. I can however explain why I personally like to have games on Steam.

1) Download servers - Generally, I have found Valve / Steam download servers to be of better quality than a companies own. This is essentially the core of what Steam does and what it's business revolves around so it needs to be good. There are of course cases where a companies own download and update service is just as good but it's not guarenteed.

2) Convenience - Everything in one place under one account.

3) Community hubs and other features - This is kind of a follow on from 2. I have a number of games outside of Steam and getting to their respective community hubs on Steam can be a royal pain in the backside. Particularly when that game is withdrawn from further sales. If it's in your Steam library or even the Steam store, accessing these features is a breeze.

Ok, but idk if ANYONE even knows what it is. I just need the code. I looked it up, and it's a mixture of letters and numbers. So, if you don't have it, ok. If you DO have it, then just tell me, ok? Ok.:steamhappy:

:KSad: From the FAQ on the website:
"I bought the game on the KSP store, but I want it on Steam. Will you give me a game key?

In general no. The option to transfer KSP Store licenses to Steam is only available for those who bought KSP before it originally came out on Steam, March 20th 2013. Note that if you do qualify for a transfer and choose to do it, the process is OPTIONAL and IRREVERSIBLE. If you transfer your purchase to Steam, you will no longer be able to download or update the game from the KSP Store. To move to Steam, log in to your KSP Store profile and you will find the button to start the process next to your download link. If you can’t see the button in your profile it means you purchased the game after it was on Steam and you are not eligible, no exceptions, please don’t insist.
