You can transfer to/from multiple fuel tanks at once?
I've known for a long time you can transfer fuel between tanks by ALT-right clicking on them, but always went from one tank to another.
Last night I noticed that you can have multiple tanks selected for transfer.

If you transfer into a tank it will draw evenly from all the others selected. If you transfer out of a tank it will distribute it between all selected tanks that have room to receive it. As each tank fills the transfer just continues for the remaining tanks.

Also learned a couple of new tricks for the VAB/SPH. Shift + scroll wheel zooms in and out. I knew about the KB command, but it's awkward for me.
Shift + left click lets you move the entire rocket. Handy when the root part is a probe core buried in the center of a lander and you can click on it.

It's amazing how long you can play this game and still not discover everything and I'm not sure if this stuff is new for 1.04 or if it's been there all along and I never saw it before.
Anyone else come across any hidden gems like this?

Thanks for the good tip about transfering fuel from more than one tank to the other... After 300+ houres I did also not know.

Well I like to give a trip in retur.
Place a navigation node and example plan a trip from kerbin-mum... Try to hold the move above one of the navigation nodes you pull or push to adjust your orbit.
While holding the mouse above example "prograde" then try to "roll the wheel" . Now you can make tiny adjustments when rolling the mouse instead of pulling or pushing a tiny bit.
( you do not have to hold the mouse button, point the mouse and roll the wheel ).

I ruin maneuver nodes with that one all the time when I try to zoom the camera out.
Were you also aware that you can get more fine control by pushing on the retrograde control than you can from pulling on the prograde control?

Don't feel bad about not finding stuff in a few hundred hours. I'm in for a couple of thousand hours and I'm still finding new stuff.

Another handy one is that the middle mouse button rotates the camera in flight. Good for framing screenshots when your COM is not the center of your ship.

Don't know if it's a tip, but a couple days ago I'm trying to set up a maneuver from Jool to Eeloo. After a lot of messing around I finally got one, but when I did my burn I overshot just a hair and lost Eeloo's SOI.
But instead of screwing around with another maneuver I kept the ship in it's current position, hit my RCS, and began to push backwards a bit, and sure enough in a few seconds I got the SOI back.
Much easier than turning around or doing a second maneuver node.

I know this is old, but that bit about multiple tanks was huge for me.

I wrote to Squad and ask them for a simple fix.

That the tanks STAY in IN or OUT mode UNTIL the window is closed.
The other thing I asked was that you should be able to control this from action groups.
Then presing say "1" would turn all tanks in the miner to OUT mode and
say "2" all tanks in the tanker to in mode.

And if you dont use action groups then you could bring the tank up one by one and say do

this one OUT
that one OUT
that OUT
than one IN
that one OUT
IN
IN
IN
OUT
IN
OUT

In ANY pattern you like.

But as it is now ... as soon as you bring other windows up or press any button the whole fuel transfer just stops. And that is just silly. It must have been Friday and the clock 5 pm when that Squad programmer left the code cause it sucks the way it is now.

What I have been doing for fuel transfer is just click a tank and press the wee button to pin it. I repeat for each tank I want to fill. I then click the tank im pumping fuel from and then just hit "out".

All my tanks fill evenly and I dont need to mess around with Alt & click, which can be iffy. Particularly when its stuttering as it can lock up the interaction windows.
