Remotetech 2.0 Landing with delay in no atmosphere
So i began using RT again and I had to turn off the delay function beacuse I'm unable to land on ike. I love the delay and the flight computer and for landing with chutes its really fun to do but I just cant do it with no chutes. And I also dont want to learn to script KOS. Is there a better way???

You can create another ship with a command station ( cant remember what it icalled )and use your kerbals as a kind of "mission control". That way your communication delay will be reduced compared to if the signal have to travel all the way from kerbin to IKE:
Example you could put your mission control in orbit arround Duna then you have 0sec delay.
Be carefull to time your landing with what ever com connection you have avaliable... Nothing worse than to try to land and then connection is lost...

You could always do it the way real space programs do it and start using MechJeb. For your purposes it's pretty much the same as using KOS except without the hours and hours of learning to program something someone else has already done. Realism is never cheating.

Yeah, same here - MJ is not cheating, as you can still get screwed and have no chance to intervene.

Also, how's you atmospheric RT landings?

Atmospheric is pretty easy with smartparts. Never thought of mechjeb, Ill try that. Thanks

Just turn off delay. There's nothing realistic about it. No real space probe is landed or controlled manually.

If you don't want to use KOS, and instead want a "hands on" piloting experience, just turn off the delay and pretend that you're the landing computer on the probe.

I turned it off for now, for me its more fun that way. An since I never build up a real big network, Its stil hard enough figuring out what dishes to use and how that all works best
