Deployable sciende issues: solar panel not producing energy
Hi everyone,

i was trying for the first time the deployable science in Kerbin, started with solar panel deployed by an engineer and then an experiment from a scientist but the solar panel it's no producing any sort of energy.
It says true in both deployed and active status but it also says NOT linked and it's not producing the 2 unit of energy it should produce.

I've placed that in the launch pad but it should work right?

before you ask...yes it was a beautiful sunny day in kerbin ;)

thank you

I would not test that on the launch pad... IDK but that might be the issue.

If you have the nuke available use that.

You also need the control station thing, I'm not sure what it's called.

Looks like they don't work on Kerbin. Most likely, under the hood, they all use the same Module, which is categorically nonfunctional on Kerbin.

As Salticus pointed out, you need the control unit. That's why they're not linked, and as a result the solar panels aren't connected to anything that needs energy.

Nothing at the link says that that I can see.

Deployable science works on Kerbin, too. You do need the central unit, though, or else none of the others will work. I'm not sure if it's sensitive to the order in which you place units, but I generally place the central unit first.

I've Placed the control unit and now they're linked but still the solar panel it's not producing Energy...

I have the same issue, I tried multiple times to correct the issue. Redeployed the solar units, science control unit. Still not working. The solar panel states "Power State not producing". I tried the experiment on the mun. All the other deployed science is connected but just no power.

Had the same Problem once. Try to Quicksave (F5) and reload (F9) fixed it for me.

The panel supplies 1 power unit, 2 units if deployed by an engineer... are you placing them with the deploy button or via the EVA construction tool?

Side note - picking things up and putting them down again may, in some cases, break them. Just reload the area by going to the tracking station and back or reloading as suggested above.
