Hi Squad, since KSP2 is dead ..

KSP2 is dead, they shut down the studio....
And in the "grand scheme of things" that's a trivial matter. Take Two owns literally multiple hundreds of different studios. They can just move the project somewhere else and get another studio to start work on it.

Also in general though: Why are we discussing KSP2 in the KSP forums at all? This is so weird. I had to look and double-check which forum I'm in when reading this.

Is this a joke, or are you actually being serious? What are the actual chances of this happening? Probably next to zero, I would say....

you act like this hasn't happened before, with that exact game

You think that just because it happened before, it will happen again? That isn't exactly rock solid logic. It also completely ignores the actual history of the complete failure in development that has been KSP2 so far. It has repeatedly not fulfilled promises and deadlines...I doubt that a publisher is going to think that foisting this IP onto another new studio is going to be the thing that suddenly turns it profitable. Especially while they are in the middle of layoffs and shut downs.

But I mean, sure, it guess technically it * could * happen. I just think the chance of this is incredibly remote.

I am not joking and this would not be the first time that they've done it with this exact title (KSP2) either. It's already happened before the game was released during EA. They might possibly (maybe? Wishful thinking?) just do it again. Just because they closed down the CURRENT studio that was working on the game does NOT mean that the game is completely abandoned.

I'm doubtful. We can agree to disagree.

I know that it's not a reliable source but the official Take Two twitter did post a comment to their twitter account stating "Kerbal Space Program 2 is not dead!". I'm assuming they have some sort of plan for it.
