How to deploy larger parts from Cargo Storage Unit?

I have a station that I decided could use more power reserves, so on a ship I was sending to the area I included a SEQ-24 Cargo Storage Unit with several ZK-1 Battery Packs. I have an engineer, but I con't move a battery into his inventory, it says it's too big, even if he drops his MMU. So how do I get it installed, and if I can't what's the point of being able to add it o cargo?

When you take an engineer EVA you can then go into construction mode by hitting "I" i or the crane icon on the right side of the screen. This will allow you to drag and drop items directly out of cargo units to the area you are working. If the part is too big you will need more engineers on EVA to handle it.
