Use the forums (http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/forum/34-add-on-releases/) to find mods. Curseforge or Github to download them from where they're hosted.
its sad to see such a great project die. shame on squad for sticking with curse, never felt like many people use it for their mods. most had either a github or kerbalstuff as host.

CKAN is fine. Kerbalstuff is dead, but CKAN isn't. It's just that at the moment, *temporarily* many of the mods listed on it are broken because nobody told any modders Kerbalstuff was going away ahead of time and it just stopped exising by surprise all at once today. CKAN lets mod authors pick their distribution location, and kerbalstuff was just the most common choice they picked. The other hosting sites are available through CKAN too, BUT the mod authors have to know about it and change their config files to get CKAN to look elsewhere for their mod, and there was zero warning ahead of time to do that. Give it a few days and many mods on CKAN will be working again once the mod authors get their changed configs pushed to CKAN.
Also, anyone else pissed that Kerbalstuff decided to basically throw a temper-tantrum and flip the switch rather than actually TELLING anyone the site was going to be killed? A simple splash screen or whatever would have saved a lot of problems. Hell, even killing the main page and leaving the downloads running for a few days would have been better.
